Al Rawabi School is a national bilingual private school operating under the Ministry of Education in Bahrain, serving both Bahraini and expatriate communities. Bahrain’s growing diversity has enriched our school community, which continues to welcome families from varied cultural backgrounds. Most of our students come from households of modest means.

Established in 1997 with 25 kindergarten students, Al Rawabi has grown over twenty-five years into a full-fledged Cambridge and IB World School operating across two state-of-the-art campuses. The school offers high-quality education at an affordable cost, ensuring access to excellence for students from low- to middle-income families.

We believe that the purpose of education is the balanced development of the learner’s intellectual, emotional, physical, social, moral, and spiritual dimensions. This philosophy underpins our commitment to concept-based teaching and learning, fostering a culture of inquiry and reflection.

Since 2014, Al Rawabi has been an authorized IB World School and has earned the confidence of Cambridge and Edexcel as an approved examination centre. In 2015, the school introduced Mental Calculation (Abacus) through the Mental Abacus Magic program, further strengthening students’ numeracy and cognitive skills. Al Rawabi is also a UNESCO-affiliated school.

The school was first accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) in 2018 and successfully reaccredited in 2025 for a full seven-year term. We have also passed two IB evaluation reviews with excellence, reaffirming our commitment to international standards of quality and continuous improvement.
